After traveling across the globe for the past 30 years for fun with friends and family - and planning all of those trips - I am so excited to finally follow my passion for travel and plan amazing vacations for others. I've never met a vacation that I didn't like. Whether I'm sunning myself on the beautiful beaches in Mexico or the Caribbean, cruising across the sea, or hiking in the Austrian Alps, I always take a moment to enjoy where I am and make sure that I absorb the full experience.
Two of my most favorite trips occurred years apart, and were vastly different trips but demonstrate how exciting it can be to explore the world far from home but that staying close to home can also be fun. First, years ago, as a young girl, I found myself in Zadar, Croatia. Most who travel to Croatia on the Adriatic Coast will visit Dubrovnik, or possibly Split. But for me Zadar is the real Jewel of the Adriatic. I was mesmerized by the charming Old Town, and its stunning position on the sea. Meandering through the city, amongst the ruins of the past civilizations that reigned here, it is easy to imagine the Romans and Venetians building their cultures here. My second favorite trip could not be any more different than wandering the beautiful Adriatic Coast yet it ranks high in my memory. During the Covid Pandemic, my husband and I were trying to find a place to vacation with our two teenage daughters that was a drivable distance from our home in New Jersey but would still present us with the opportunity to relax and have fun. We found our answer at The Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. We packed up our car, old school style, and hit the road with plenty of snacks and a book on tape. Seven hours later we pulled into what can only be described as one of the most beautiful, historic hotels in the world. For the next week we occupied ourselves with skeet shooting, archery classes, hatchet throwing, an off-road adventure driving a Polaris RZR, lots of time enjoying a beautiful relaxing pool, and not to mention world class dining at the Resort's many, many restaurants. That trip could not have been any more different than my solo trip through Zadar, but the memories and fun we shared as a family that week push it to the top. I know we will be laughing at our Greenbrier memories at many Thanksgiving dinners in years to come.
For me, these two trips represent what the best experiences in travel can be. If you are the type of person who wishes to stay close to home, I can help you plan the vacation of your dreams. Maybe an Amtrak adventure, a trip down the mighty Mississippi on a river boat, or a stay at a beautiful ranch in Montana is your cup of tea. America has so many beautiful places to explore and it would bring me so much joy to help you find them. If you are game to explore the world beyond our borders, let's do it! Kayaking in Patagonia, riding a Vespa around Rome, or climbing to breathtaking Machu Pichu are all just a phone call or email away.
Let's make your next trip your most memorable trip!
